Online classes: You can register six days ahead — so if it’s Monday, you can register through the end of the day on Sunday. We value each student and do our best to create a community where everyone is encouraged to have their best personal yoga experience. To make that experience possible in a group setting, we ask that you be mindful of some basic yoga class etiquette:
Please arrive 15 minutes early for class. This gives you time to park, get signed in, and settled for class. Anyone who arrives 10 minutes after class has started will not be permitted into the yoga room.
Please turn your cell phones and smart watches to OFF or SILENT. A cell phone on vibrate can be as disruptive as a phone with the ringer on.
Please leave shoes, coats and bags in the coat area. You can bring your purse/keys/wallet into the yoga studio. We strongly advise you to leave valuables at home. breathe is not responsible for any lost/stolen items.
You are welcome to bring a water bottle to class, but we ask that you do not bring cups of water or other beverages. The instructor moves throughout the room during class and spilling a cup of water is a disruption to the whole class.
Please talk to our instructor about any pre-existing condition, old sports injuries, or health concerns that might be relevant to your yoga class. Teachers will do their best to provide modifications to suit your needs.
Please let the instructor know if you need to leave class early - and then please do so quietly and leave before savasana begins.
We have been so impressed with how conscientious our community has been in regards to sickness over these last couple of years. Please continue to be as vigilant when it comes to your own health and the wellbeing of those around you. If you are sick with a cold or flu, please stay home, rest, and wait to return to yoga once you are better.
Thank you for being mindful about our community space! Together we create an environment that feels supportive and welcoming to all.

For online classes, have your props available. Pillows, blankets, and books (can be used instead of blocks) will work well.

Just like in our yoga studio, we don’t allow people to sit and watch. So yes, please have your video on.

-
Having official yoga props at home for most online classes isn’t necessary. However, big, solid textbooks can be used for blocks. Towels, blankets or couch cushions can be used as bolsters. You can also use a belt or an old tie as a strap.

Juice Cleanses
-
Toxicity occurs when you ingest more chemicals and unnatural substances than the body can utilize and eliminate. Toxins disturb the balance (homeostasis) of our body. Healthy immune and elimination functions can handle everyday exposure to toxins; it is the over-abundance of toxins that can wreak havoc on our bodies, our food choices or cravings, and our ability to maintain balance.
-
Almost everyone needs to detox and rest their body from time to time — some more than others.
-
Anyone with the following conditions should refrain from a cleanse:
underweight; pre/post surgery; cardiac conditions; pregnancy; low blood pressure; peptic ulcers; cardiac arrhythmia; low immunity; nutritional deficiencies; cancer; nursing children
-
As the body “catches up” with processing and eliminating waste, some people may notice headaches, fatigue, irritability, mucous congestion, or mild aches and pains. Others might feel none of those symptoms but may be immediately uplifted with increased energy and a feeling of lightness. If you are a daily coffee drinker and don’t wean off before the cleanse, you will most likely experience a headache from caffeine withdrawal.
-
Yes. Listen to your body. Adjust as necessary.
-
Planning your cleanse in advance guarantees that breathe can fully support you, plus gives you the opportunity to prepare for the cleanse (by building in time for you to ease off of caffeine, processed foods, etc., if applicable to you).
-
Stop in to breathe in Pittsford, NY and one of our Juice Bar Associates will assist you with the menu and provide information to support you during the cleanse.
