What I’ve learned from my personal practice…
is that it is continuously evolving as I do. My meditation practice has taught me that in stillness, I can be present with what is. So that when I unroll my mat and take time in Child's pose to pause, I can trust that whatever poses follow will be exactly what I need in that moment in time. In many ways, my yoga practice has become a dear friend that I listen to; always holding up the mirror for me and offering grace and support back.
I love teaching…
creative ways to weave in pranayama techniques and moments of meditation throughout a full asana practice. Even in the 30-minute online classes I enjoy teaching so much, I always try to offer ways for the breath to feel like a "lead role" instead of a "supporting actor."
I’m inspired by…
Nature and I am happiest underneath a canopy of trees! When I get to observe the complexities and beauty of Nature through the eyes of my three children...I'm doubly inspired! I have always felt like yoga connects me to the bigger web of life around us and beyond.
My other passion or hobby in life…
is writing....creatively and introspectively. Poetry and Prose. I also love to travel with my husband and three children in tow!
