What I've learned from my personal practice…
Not to let perfection get in the way of progress. Like, I suspect, many of my fellow yogis, we see ourselves as high achievers and in a hurry to get it right…and fast. Both my asana and meditative practices have taught me to allow the process to unfold at the rate that it does, not at the rate that I think it should.
I love teaching…
meditation classes because it gives me the opportunity to interact with the community of yogis who choose to slow the world down by allowing the swirl in their minds to lessen for a little while each day.
I'm inspired by…
the commitment of the people in the breathe community to humbly take responsibility for their own well-being in a world where everyone seems to be blaming external factors for their dissatisfaction.
My other passion in life…
being witness to my five grandchildren as they grow and develop into young adults. Oh, and did I mention my golf game?
