Prep Cook

We are looking for an accountable, task-oriented, organized individual to join our kitchen team. Cleanliness is a priority and we appreciate individuals that like to hustle and are self-motivated. Our team is approachable, empowering and inclusive. 

At breathe, we strive to build on a foundation of cooking from scratch with seasonal produce and with vegetarian and gluten-free options. We have a strong focus on teamwork and a love for community within the workplace.

Role and responsibilities:

  • The guided preparation and packaging of organic, whole foods according to the recipes provided. 

  • Follow high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

  • Self-manage one's own workflow to efficiently complete assigned tasks.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Embodies strong organizational skills and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Is a positive, encouraging team player; can take direction well and communicate effectively with team members.

  • Has the ability to multi-task and has strong attention to detail.

  • Has an interest in continuous professional development by participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications:

  • 6 - 12 months experience in food service/preparation - preferred.

  • Have culinary experience related to our food mission i.e. preparing gluten-free, vegan, organic, whole foods - preferred

Availability requirements:

  • Our production team operates between the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday-Sunday. There is some flexibility in working with you to set a consistent schedule. 

  • This is a 20-hour/week commitment.
